Near to the historical centre of Guimarães, set on a hill overlooking the city, we find the majestic Pousada Santa Marinha, the 12th century Augustin convent, which, after being rebuilt and restored, received the National Architectural Prize in 1985.

By Car:
- From the A3 motorway, exit at Guimarães.
- From the A7 motorway, exit at Guimarães.
- From Guimarães centre, follow the signs to Teleférico, Penha and Pousada.
- The Pousada is 2 km away from the city centre, on the road connecting the centre and the mountain of Penha.
